Victoria Canessa is 27 and comes from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2017, she graduated with a Veterinary degree from the University of Buenos Aires. She then went on to gain experience overseas, moving to Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked as a Nurse Technician at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and interned at Juddmonte Farms as a groom and exercise rider through the Kentucky Equine Management Internship. Before commencing Godolphin Flying Start, she completed the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Course.
“Godolphin Flying Start program is a unique life experience, and achieving the scholarship is a true honour. Through it, I will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the industry and of international markets and nurture myself from the other trainees, and from professionals and leaders in the world of the Thoroughbred. I am grateful to my industry mentors, both in Argentina and overseas, who have guided me along the way, and I hope to become one for those who begin their path. Beyond horses, my interests include outdoor sports, travelling and enjoying the company of family and friends.”
