What horse got you interested in the Thoroughbred industry?
The late great Istabraq. He was an incredible horse and one of the best hurdlers in racing, and I was honoured to have seen him a few times in the past.
Why did you apply for the Godolphin Flying Start scholarship?
I applied for Godolphin Flying Start as I saw this course as a brilliant way of excelling further in my career in the Thoroughbred industry and getting the opportunity to travel and see the world.
Have you any siblings?
I have one sister who is currently studying to become a teacher; however, growing up, she was very involved with horses, particularly showjumping and eventing. Although her future career is outside of the industry, she still has a massive place in her heart for it.
What are your hobbies and interests?
My hobbies outside of the industry include hurling, football, soccer and going out socialising with friends.
What did you think you will miss most about home while you travel through each of the five phases?
The main things I will miss about home when I go abroad will be my friends family, going to watch hurling games and also a decent pint of Guinness!
