Alayna Cullen

Alayna Cullen hails from Ballymore Eustace in County Kildare, Ireland but now calls Newmarket in the UK home. Upon completion of the Godolphin Flying Start program, in 2017, Alayna began working for the Thoroughbred Daily News and has been with them ever since. As part of her job for the daily publication she can often be found with a camera in hand. Alayna also helps with her family’s breeding operation and assists Newmarket-based trainer Julia Feilden when time allows.

“When I reflect upon my time with Godolphin Flying Start I am absolutely astounded as to how much I have seen and learned in horse racing throughout the world. The experience has not only given me a greater appreciation for the sport but it has developed and nurtured a skill set I didn’t even know I could possess. My knowledge of the industry has increased immensely but I have also learned about my leadership style, awareness of all aspects of running a business and personal growth. This course has opened my eyes to a world of possibilities. While I still have a strong passion to pursue a career in racing media, I am also looking at other roles that combine racing and breeding knowledge with client relations.”
