Directorship: Godolphin International Thoroughbred Leadership Programme


DIRECTORSHIP POSITION

Godolphin International Thoroughbred Leadership Programme (Flying Start) has a directorship position on its board which is open to applications from programme graduates. The directorship role commences in September 2023 and is for a 5-year term.

This is an opportunity to play a strategic role in the operation and development of the Flying Start programme and, by doing so, contribute to the legacy it continues to establish for the thoroughbred industry.  It is also an opportunity to gain experience in best practice governance in a company which successfully operates in the charity sector (Charity trustee: what’s involved (CC3a) – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

The board meets up to four times per year with the option to participate virtually.  Meetings typically take place at 2:00 p.m. UK time.

This is an unpaid position, but any out-of-pocket expenses related to board meeting attendance will be reimbursed.
