Elinor Wolf, a recent graduate of the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start program, is poised to take the helm at Thoroughbred Country as the company’s current CEO, Laura Magee, embarks on Maternity Leave.
Elinor’s roots in the state of Kentucky and her two-year stint in Ireland uniquely equip her to assume this temporary leadership role. Her journey to the Emerald Isle unfolded during the tumultuous days of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading her to apply for and complete the Irish National Stud Course in 2021. This six-month stint at the Irish National Stud proved invaluable, acting as the perfect springboard for her future involvement in the Godolphin Flying Start Program, which she graduated from this past June.
Reflecting on her path, Elinor credits the Godolphin Flying Start Program for her position at Thoroughbred Country.
“I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the Godolphin Flying Start program, it was an amazing experience to be able to study on such a prestigious program and it is because of Clodagh Kavanagh that I was introduced to Laura Magee, and able to do a work placement with Thoroughbred Country while studying”.

There are exciting times coming in the New Year and Elinor is very optimistic and excited for the future.
