2009 Graduate Cathal Beale will succeed John Osborne as CEO of the Irish National Stud

The Irish National Stud is pleased to announce that Cathal Beale will succeed John Osborne as CEO commencing 1st July. In doing so Cathal will become CEO of the institution where his bloodstock journey began. As a graduate of the 2007 Stud Management Program at the Irish National Stud Cathal proceeded to enrol in the Darley Flying Start. His experience with Paddy Power, the Racing Post, Forenaghts Stud and Tinnakill Bloodstock gives him a robust set of skills which the Board feels make him uniquely qualified for this challenging role.

Cathal also holds a B.A. from UCD and Masters in Management from Smurfit Business School

On the announcement Cathal commented ‘This is a wonderful opportunity and a job I have trained for during my entire career. It’s an exciting challenge and I’m fortunate to be running with the same Management Team who are both focused and passionate, same Board of Directors. I am confident it will be business as usual and look forward to meeting clients both old and new in the near future’.
